IronFit — Terms of Service
Version: 1.0 · Effective date: 7 August 2026
IronFit is an informal, volunteer-run community workout group among friends — not a registered business and not a professional fitness service. The app is built and run by volunteers. Contact: ironfituae.app@gmail.com
By ticking the box during onboarding you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Waiver. You can read all three any time under Profile → Legal.
1. Who can use it. IronFit is private and invitation-based. You need to train with the community and have your registration approved by a coach or administrator — creating an account doesn't grant access on its own. Members under 18 need a parent or guardian to accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Waiver on their behalf.
2. Your account. Keep your login details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access.
3. What the app is. A tool for recording training, nutrition and progress, and for coaches to program for the group. It isn't medical advice. Calorie and macro targets are estimates from the details you enter, and individual needs vary widely. Nutrition data comes from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts — Open Food Facts is maintained by the public and can be wrong, including on allergens, so check the physical label if it matters. Talk to a doctor before starting or significantly changing how you train or eat.
4. Health. The app doesn't collect or store health conditions, injuries or medical history — deliberately. If something affects your training, tell a coach directly, before you train and whenever it changes. That's part of the Waiver. The one exception is your emergency contact, which we do store.
5. Training is at your own risk. Covered by the Waiver you accept at onboarding. You decide what's right for you on any given day and can scale or skip anything. Stop and get help if you feel chest pain, dizziness, severe breathlessness, or notice dark urine after training.
6. What other members see. Your name, photo, bio, join date, personal records, your scores on the group's workouts, and whether you've marked a workout as done — there's no setting to hide these. The date you say you did a workout is shown only to you and the coaches. Workouts you write for yourself stay private unless you share them, and announcing a personal record in the feed is your choice and off by default. Your nutrition, weigh-ins, measurements and emergency contact are never shown to other members. Coaches and administrators see everything you record.
7. What you may not do. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive or obscene; don't impersonate anyone; don't share other members' information outside the app without their permission; don't use it to sell or advertise; don't try to access data you're not meant to see or probe the app's security.
8. Your content. You own what you enter, including photos you upload. You give us permission to store and display it within the app, to the people described in the Privacy Policy, for as long as your account exists. We won't publish it, sell it, or use it in marketing. We may remove content that breaches these Terms. If you're a coach posting a picture to an announcement, make sure you have the permission of anyone recognisable in it.
9. It's a work in progress. Built by volunteers in spare time. Expect bugs, changes and occasional downtime. Don't rely on it as your only record of anything you'd hate to lose. If a change materially affects your rights or who sees your data, we'll tell you first.
10. Leaving. Delete your account any time under Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may remove access if you breach these Terms, stop training with the community, or if we stop running the app.
11. Third-party services. Supabase (hosting, database, sign-in, storage), Google Sign-In, USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts (nutrition data), and the app stores. We're not responsible for their content or availability.
12. Our stuff. The app's software, design, name, logo and the programming we create belong to us. Use it only as these Terms allow.
13. Liability. The app is provided "as is", with no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or that any data in it — including nutrition data — is accurate. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or anything else that can't lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes. We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll ask you to accept the new version before continuing.
Free to use. Governed by the laws of the UAE, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, courts of Dubai. Please email us before starting formal proceedings. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Written in English.
